As the former Director of Youth Development for NYC School District 79, the largest alternative district in the United States, who serves over 50,000 students a year from 6 weeks old to 96 years old in the 5 boroughs and beyond along with partnerships with CUNY (College University of New York) Young Men’s Initiative (YMI) and Black Men’s Initiative(BMI), I have facilitated professional development and programmatic strategic development sessions geared for over 120 principals, guidance counselors, and social workers. Focused on evidence-based social-emotional and trauma-focused best practices while keeping the mission and vision of the organization at the center, we can develop Strategic Initiatives and Professional Development sessions or series for all educators and students to thrive in and outside of the classroom.
